Beroni actively participated in the first edition of the Tecno Travel Agency, held onMay 8 and 9 inMadridand organized by UNAV (National Union of Travel Agencies). This pioneering event brought together nearly 200 professionals from the tourism sector, creating a space for debate and innovation focused on the present and future of travel agencies.
Our Commercial Director,Ingrid Graells Paul, played a prominent role throughout the conference, participating in two of the main scheduled panel discussions. In the first, she served as a speaker in the session titled“Transformation in Management: Technological Solutions for Travel Agencies,” where she shared her insights and experiences alongside Sebastián Briones (PIPELINE SOFTWARE), Alberto Rodríguez (OferTravel Spain), and Enrique Mauduit García (ATF Turisferr), moderated by Maite Añorga, CEO of TDCS Travelport.
During this panel discussion, participants addressed the majortechnological challengesfacing the sector, ranging from the need toautomate internal processesto the key role ofartificial intelligencein improvingoperational efficiency. Ingrid highlighted the importance ofinnovation applied to accounting, tax, and administrative management as a foundation for freeing agencies from repetitive tasks and allowing them to focus on their true mission:creating value for the client.
In her second appearance, Ingrid served as moderator for the paneldiscussion “Safe Travel: Cybersecurity Strategies for Travel Agents,” a session that focused ondigital protectionas an essential component oftrust betweenagencies and clients. The discussion featured Loly Serrano Castro, a lawyer specializing in tourism law and CEO of Deiurem, and Manuel F. Fernández, vice president of sales at BOTECH. Together, they reflected on the new landscape ofcyber threatsand the need to equip teams witheffective tools, training, and protocolsto ensure secure digital environments.
Beyond the panel discussions, the conference also served as the perfect setting for discovering innovative solutions. Among them, the virtual assistantM.A.R.C.O 🤖 stood out, attracting the attention of many attendees with its ability to interact, share knowledge abouttourist destinations, and, above all, its now-famous“digital smile.” Its appearance highlighted the enormous potential ofartificial intelligence applied to tourismand its direct impact on thecustomer experience.
