On the weekend of February 21 and 22, Beroni attended the 13th Convention of TeamGroup , represented by our Sales Director Ingrid Graells and Marc Palau from the sales team. The event was held in Torremolinos (Málaga) and was attended by more than 500 people, including travel agents and tourism suppliers. This year’s convention was special because TeamGroup is celebrating its 15th anniversary. Congratulations!
The conference kicked off on Friday morning with a welcome reception and the distribution of materials to attendees.
On Saturday morning, the convention officially opened with remarks by Gorka Lerchundi, head of the Marketing Department for Spain, Portugal, and Latin America at Turismo Andaluz; Margarita del Cid, CEO of Turismo de Costa del Sol; Aida Blanes, Councilor for Tourism for the City of Torremolinos; and Vicens Cases, president of Team Group.
The convention continued with the traditional workshop, in which Beroni was one of the 76 vendors participating. Our team presented the latest developments we’ve been preparing for our clients: our BGS Self-Booking Tool for corporate clients and business travel agencies. In addition, Ingrid and Marc presented the latest updates on management software and the creation of custom websites.
At 4:15 p.m., a roundtable discussion was held on topics such as the future of tourism, tourismophobia, OTAs, and the internet.
The event continued with a prize drawing hosted by the vendors. Beroni raffled off a free one-year subscription to our Secure Pay product for two travel agencies: the new tool developed by Beroni that allows travelers to make 100% secure payments quickly and easily without having to provide their credit card information—even from their mobile devices. At 6:15 p.m., to wrap up the day, attendees were treated to a roundtable discussion titled “Agency-Supplier Relationships.”
The following day, to wrap up this year’s convention with a day of leisure, attendees enjoyed an excursion to Mijas and Puerto Banús.
