Jaume Baró, Secretary of Business and Labor for the Government of Catalonia, visited the facilities of Beroni a few days ago. Beroni is a technology company based in Balaguer that specializes in digital solutions for the travel agency sector. The visit was part of a series of institutional visits he is making to Catalan companies to learn firsthand about their projects, challenges, and strategic plans.

During his visit, the secretary was accompanied by Clara Porta, director of ACCIÓ’s Regional Services in Lleida. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss Beroni’s progress over the past four years, a period during which the company has experienced significant growth both in terms of business volume and strategic positioning within the traveltech sector.

Beroni, founded in 1987, is the oldest company in the state specializing in technology for travel agencies. In this new phase, the company has undertaken a structural transformation that combines business growth, a commitment to innovation, and the cultivation of local talent.

Growth, innovation, and community roots

Beroni’s management team also shared its vision for the future and upcoming action plans with the Minister of Labor, which focus on:
• The consolidation of new technological lines related to artificial intelligence applied to the tourism sector.
• National and international expansion.
• The creation of skilled jobs in the region.
• The continuation of a business model that places people and service at the center of its strategy

Corporate Culture and Talent Management

During the visit, the support received from ACCIÓ in key processes such as the acquisition of Diurnus was also highlighted; this strategic move has enabled the company to expand its capabilities and strengthen its new corporate and MICE software line. Likewise, the support provided in defining the corporate and corporate events strategy in terms of shared value was highlighted—an initi
ly led by Beroni with a solid narrative based on talent management, corporate culture, and service-oriented decision-making.

“It is very important to us that the government has a firsthand understanding of the reality facing technology companies in the region. The growth we have experienced in recent years is the result of a clear strategy, a commitment to innovation, and, above all, a dedicated team,” said Beroni’s management.

The visit is part of the Department of Business and Labor’s efforts to strengthen ties with the Catalan business community and learn about projects that contribute to the region’s competitiveness and economic transformation.
