Travel agents using the Wasabi-s platform have had access for the past few days to the full range of products offered by the Asian travel distribution wholesaler DidaTravel, thanks to an agreement signed between this global operator—based in Shenzhen, China—and Beroni, a company specializing in digitalization, technology services, and R&D for the tourism and travel sector, which is celebrating its 37th anniversary this year.
The partnership signed between the two companies gives the more than 20,000 users of the booking engine created by Beroni access to the entire portfolio of this distribution “giant,” which includes a portfolio of more than 75,000 direct hotel contracts, as well as one million hotel products provided by more than 600 global suppliers.
Furthermore, for DidaTravel, which already operates in more than 200 countries, the agreement reached represents a significant milestone in the provider’s expansion strategy in the European market and in its growth in Spain.
Founded in 2012, this global operator currently works with more than 35,000 B2B clients worldwide, including travel agencies, tour operators, wholesalers, OTAs, travel management companies, and airlines. The new Asian-based provider has more than 600 employees across eight offices around the world.
Jessica Cifuentes, Spain-based sales director, says: “At DidaTravel, we strive to adapt to the needs of the European market, offering a wide range of Asian travel products and highly competitive rates in other regions. The collaboration and support of Wasabi-s and Beroni, as technology partners specializing in the travel sector, will boost our distribution and confidence, strengthening our position in the Spanish market.”
According to Josep Bellés, CEO of Beroni, “DidaTravel’s entry into the domestic retail market through Beroni is great news for the domestic travel agencies that use our Wasabi-s technology platform, and in particular for the more than 20,000 users who already benefit from its services. This is because DidaTravel significantly complements our range of solutions and services, expands our customers’ choices, and adds value to the products we already offer through our technology, thanks to this global operator’s presence and expertise in the Asian market in particular.”
