Verifactu Postponement: An Opportunity to Review, Improve, and Move Forward

Following yesterday’s announcement by the government regarding the postponement of Verifactu’s mandatory implementation until January 2027, Beroni wishes to reassure all its customers and, at the same time, highlight the collaborative work carried out over the past few months.

What does this postponement mean?

In Beroni's view, it is, above all, an opportunity for everyone, one that allows

↘️ Review and optimize internal billing processes.

↘️ Identify opportunities for improvement in day-to-day operations by leveraging the actual invoice upload process.

↘️ Ensure a gradual transition without disrupting normal operations.

1. If you already have Verifactu installed in your Front Office

Your agency already has a significant head start. This head start will allow for a smooth transition, without rushing and without unexpected costs due to time constraints. Even if the deadline is postponed, having the system ready is a strategic advantage.

2. If you haven't activated Verifactu yet

This postponement gives you the opportunity to prepare for the transition well in advance and without rushing. In any case, Beroni recommends activating it no later than June 1, 2026.

Why

↘️ The AEAT may receive invoices prior to the deadline, providing security and support to the agency.

↘️ This helps prepare the billing staff in the Front Office and Retail departments, as Verifactu affects the work of all employees.

↘️ Our experience shows that agencies need several weeks to review internal processes and adjust their operations.

↘️ Activation has a significant impact on daily life, so having some leeway is key to adapting successfully.

Beroni has made its customer service department available to address any questions or provide any additional clarification that may be needed, and reiterates its commitment to continuing to support agencies every step of the way by communicating any official updates.
