On February 24, the University of Girona invited us to share our insights with the students in its Master’s Program in Tourism Management and Planning, where I attended in my capacity as Commercial Director of Beroni.
We explore Travel Tech trends so that future professionals in the industry can understand how technology is evolving and driving the market’s continued growth, while supporting the digital transformation of travel agencies.
Students in the Master's Program in Tourism Management and Planning learned about cross-selling and up-selling strategies in online sales and e-commerce projects. We reviewed the main tools for digital customer interaction and the importance of centering each project on the user experience. We enjoyed exploring emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and chatbots, which enable increased customer interaction across all channels by offering a comprehensive"omni-channel"experience.
Finally, we discussed the success story of Experience Catalunya , the marketplace developed using Beroni’s Enjoy Experience technology for the Catalan Tourism Agency. A SaaS project developed by Beroni five years ago, to which we have recently applied new improvements thanks to the incorporation of cutting-edge technological solutions, a complete redesign of the look and feel focused on the new digital customer, and integration with the CRM. We have thus created an attractive marketplace that is always up to date with the latest technological innovations, serving both the company and the customer.
