The tourism magazine Hosteltur celebrated its 25th anniversary on Thursday, bringing together a large number of representatives from the tourism sector and prominent figures from the Balearic Islands’ political, financial, and social spheres. The event took place in Palma de Mallorca at theGPRO Hotel Valparaíso Palace & Spa.
The event, hosted by the publication’s editor-in-chief, Manuel Molina, featured a speech by the acting president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, who highlighted the importance of tourism for the Balearic Islands, emphasizing that collaboration between the private and public sectors is essential for boosting tourism.
The event also served as an opportunity to honor Joaquín Molina, the magazine’s founder; Gabriel Escarrer Juliá, who was awarded an honorary doctorate from the UIB and delivered a keynote lecture 31 years ago; Xisco Miralles of THB Hotels; and Ferran Porto of Club Pollentia Resort and Port Blue Hotel & Resorts.
Hosteltur was founded in 1994 as a magazine dedicated to the Balearic Islands tourism sector. Two years later, the monthly magazine expanded tobecome a national media outlet, andin 2001, hosteltur.com was launched as the first digital daily newspaper focused on the tourism sector.
Congratulations to the Hosteltur family on their long and distinguished history as one of the industry’s most respected media outlets.
