Beroni launches an automated solution to help travel agencies comply with Royal Decree 933/2021

Beroni has launched an innovative technological solution to help travel agencies easily comply with Royal Decree 933/2021, which requires the recording of travelers’ identification information when they travel within Spain. This regulation, which takes effect on December 2, 2024, will require agencies to automatically transmit booking information to the Ministry of the Interior, and Beroni has designed an application that does this automatically, quickly, and accurately.

The tool integrates fully with Beroni’s management systems and its Wasabi-S booking platform, eliminating the need to enter data manually. This automation saves an average of 100 minutes per day, according to tests conducted by Beroni’s Analysis and Ideas Lab. In addition, the feature will be free for all travel agencies that are already Beroni customers, who must use cloud-based software to ensure the security and efficiency of the process.

Beyond being a requirement for compliance with security and integration protocols, cloud computing offers numerous benefits, such as scalability, automatic updates, improved accessibility, and enhanced data protection. This allows travel agencies to always have access to the latest versions of software without the need for manual intervention.

Josep Bellés, CEO of Beroni, explained that this solution is designed to mitigate the impact of the regulation, helping travel agencies comply without wasting time on administrative tasks. He also emphasized that migrating to the cloud is not only necessary to comply with this regulation but also represents a great opportunity to improve efficiency and security in the day-to-day operations of travel agencies.

To introduce this new feature, Beroni will host an informational webinar open to all travel agencies nationwide, during which all the technical and operational details of the solution will be explained. This webinar, scheduled for September 25, will be the first of several communication initiatives planned by Beroni, including short video clips, user manuals, presentations, and personalized communications to its clients.

This new development is part of Beroni’s commitment to providing advanced technological solutions that drive the digitization and modernization of the tourism sector, ensuring that travel agencies can quickly adapt to new regulations and improve their operational performance with cutting-edge technology.
