IATA modernizes the BSP

As you know, NewGen ISS, the IATA program designed to modernize the current BSP, will take effect in Spain on May 1.

Some of the most notable changes are that agencies will be able to choose from three accreditation models (GoLite, GoStandard, and GoGlobal). In addition, a new payment option called EasyPay has been introduced as an alternative to card and cash payments. And there is a new financial guarantee.

But the most significant operational change—which has already taken place—is the switch to the PDF reports that you currently download from BSPLINK in order to process your BSP settlements in Retailer.

Effective January 1, 2019, IATA changed the PDF format, moving from a single file containing all the data to eight files with the information organized differently.

For users who have the automatic BSPLINK integration with Beroni, please send us the PDF file you download from BSPLINK, named “BILLDET,” so that we can perform the conversion. The remaining PDF files are for your internal records.

The agencies that used to handle monthly settlements will, as of January 1, have been reduced to just a handful.
