A new era in travel agency management

Beroni, a leading provider of technology solutions for travel agencies since 1987, announces the launch of its new Smart Business division, a key initiative within its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan. This new unit aims to drive the digital transformation of the tourism sector, particularly in the areas of financial, administrative, and accounting management for travel agencies.

Smart Business was founded with the mission of providing advanced technological solutions, outsourced management services, and tools based on artificial intelligence (AI), enabling travel agencies to focus on their core areas: sales, marketing, communication, and relationships with suppliers and customers.

What does Smart Business offer travel agencies?

Beroni's new division will add value for agencies through three key areas of focus:

1. Advanced technology solutions for financial and accounting management

Smart Business provides agencies with tools that automate and optimize financial, accounting, and administrative processes, backed by Beroni’s technological expertise and in-depth knowledge of the travel market.

2. External management, tax, and accounting services

The new unit offers a comprehensive management service that allows agencies to delegate administrative tasks and focus on their growth and on improving the customer experience.

3. AI-powered smart tools

The development of innovative solutions will enable agencies to access:

  • Real-time data monitoring 📊

  • Automation of key processes ⚙️

  • Customer Management and AI-Driven Decision-Making 🧠

Leadership and experience at the helm of Smart Business

The division will be led by Toni Salord, Beroni’s current chief financial officer, who will report directly to senior management. With a degree in Economics from the UAB and executive training from IE Business School and UPF-IDEC, Salord brings a solid track record from leading companies in the tourism sector, such as W2M (Iberostar Group), Viajes Magon, and Barceló Hotels.

Another step forward in Beroni's evolution

With Smart Business, Beroni is reinforcing its commitment to innovation and supporting travel agencies in their digital transformation efforts. This new division complements the company’s existing lines of business:

  • Beroni management software, used daily by more than 300 travel agencies in Spain.

  • The Wasabi-s booking platform, used by more than 900 agencies and 6 management groups.

  • Enjoy Experience, a marketplace for selling tourist experiences.

  • Beroni Global Solution (BGS), with its Sign Contract module, is a pioneer in the digital signing of package tour contracts.

A key initiative for the future of travel tech

“Smart Business is a strategic initiative designed to diversify our operations and bring our services closer to travel agents. We want to share the knowledge we’ve accumulated over 37 years of experience and free agencies from administrative tasks so they can focus on what they do best: selling, advising, and creating unique experiences.”
Josep Bellés, CEO of Beroni.
